Johnny R. Romero

Johnny R. Romero, 69, passed away on September 2, 2017 at his La Junta home. He was born to Andrew & Guadalupe (Raso) Romero on May 14, 1948 in La Junta. He married Flora M. Madrid in La Junta.

He worked for 32 years with the Railroad where he retired in 2008.

He is survived by his wife, Flora of the La Junta home; son, Johnny, Jr. (Denise) Romero; daughter, Bernadette (Chris) Boman; sisters, Lucy (Steve) Medina, Rose (Mike) Hernandez, Annie (John) Maez; brothers, Necsario, Joe, Charlie, and Andrew Romero; step-children, Vickie (Larry) Aragon, Bennie (Maryann) Martinez, Andrew (Susie) Martinez, and Catherine Martinez; goddaughter, Senieda (Elmer) Trujillo; numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive. He was proceeded in death by his parents.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. followed by a Memorial Mass at 2:00 p.m. both services at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish with Father Henry Wertin officiating.
