Joseph Alan Archuleta

Joseph "Alan" Archuleta, 62, passed away on July 14, 2015 at his Rocky Ford home. He was born on July 20, 1952 in La Junta to Joseph Archuleta & Jennie (Chaparro) Archuleta Torrez. He married Connie Minjarez on October 14, 1972.
 
He graduated Rocky Ford high school. He worked at the American Crystal Sugar Company in Rocky Ford, Santa Fe Railroad in La Junta, and Debourgh Manufacturing until his retirement in 2009.
 
He was a member of the St. Peter's Catholic Church in Rocky Ford. He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, he was an avid Denver Broncos fan, barbequing, working, and most of all spending time with his family, he will be greatly missed.
 
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Connie; son, Joseph (Nikki) Archuleta; daughter, Paula (John) Comerford; grandchildren, Rayven Sanchez, Mariah Archuleta, John and Alannah Comerford; brother, Anthony (Lydia) Archuleta and numerous nieces & nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Gloria Hart and Valerie Gilman - Barrows, and grandson, Trennon LeAndrew Archuleta.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Monday, July 20, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. and funeral mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. both services at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Rocky Ford with Father Paul Ekeh officiating. Interment will follow at the Rocky Ford Cemetery in Rocky Ford. Visitation will be Monday, July 20, 2015 prior to the Rosary at the church.
