Judith R. Anderson, 75, passed away at her Kim, Colorado home. Judith was born in 1946 in La Junta, CO to AJ and Edith Anderson. She grew up in Kim, graduating from Kim High School.
Judy continued her education at Trinidad State Junior College and Adams State College. After graduation, Judy taught on a Navajo Reservation in Arizona. During that time, she mentored many students, one of which went on to become a doctor.
Several years later she moved back to her hometown of Kim and took a leave from teaching. During this time, she realized that teaching was her passion and felt called to go back to it. She began teaching high school science at all levels. Judith, better known by her students as Miss A. felt it her duty to provide her students with the tools to succeed in the classroom but more importantly to succeed in life. Miss A. taught at Kim High School until retirement.
Judy is survived by her brother, Terry (Mary) Anderson of Fleming, CO; sister, Janet Bouvier of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; nieces, Amanda Anderson and Kathy Anderson; and her nephews, Beaver Rose and Lee Rose. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, Rollie Bouvier .
A graveside memorial service will be April 29, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at the Kim Cemetery in Kim, Colorado with Pastor Carl Feril officiating.
