Justin C. Klein

Justin Curtis “Buster” Klein, 36, of La Junta passed away peacefully on April 16, 2016 at the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, CO. Justin had endured 8 months of boldly fighting cancer. He always kept a positive attitude. He was born on January 8, 1980 in La Junta, CO to John & Mary Jane (Campbell) Klein. 
 
He married Samantha Jo Pacino on May 21, 2005. Justin and Samantha had three beautiful daughters, Hannah Elizabeth Klein (age 11), Lillian Morgan Klein (age 9), and Shelby Anne Klein (age 4). Justin worked as a LPN at Valley Wide Health Services in La Junta where he enjoyed the staff and helping his patients. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of La Junta, an Eagle Scout (Boy Scout Troop #232) and former Koshare Indian Dancer. He graduated from La Junta High School class of 1998, attending Otero Junior College and received his CAN and LPN with an Associated of Sciences Degree. He also worked at Sonic Drive Inn, Fort Lyon Correctional Facility, Bonnie Plants, Bent County Nursing Home and Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center. Justin’s favorite thing to do was to spend time with his family and attend family gatherings with his sister and brother-in-law and their daughters. He also enjoyed numerous outdoor activities such as hunting, camping, snowboarding, gardening, and teaching people about Geology. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
 
Justin is survived by his wife of 10 years, Samantha Klein of the La Junta home; daughters, Hannah, Lillian, and Shelby; sister, Amanda (Mark) Johnston and their daughters, Willow, Addison, and Autumn Johnston all of Swink; parents, John & Mary Jane Klein of La Junta; mother & father-in-law, Jackie (Tom) Pacino Schiro of Rocky Ford, CO; brother-in-law’s, Phillip (Maggy) Pacino and their sons, William and Timothy all of Lamar, CO and Benjamin (Clarissa) Pacino and their daughters, Alexa and Maddison all of Pueblo West, CO; uncles and aunts, Harold R. Jr. “Jake” (Jean) Klein of Aurora, CO; Fran (Ken) Dutro of Louisville, CO; Fred (Joy) Klein of La Junta; David (Sharon) Klein of Swink; Rick (Paula) Klein of La Junta; Bob (Janet) Campbell of Broomfield, CO; and Nancy (Eric) Boatwright of La Junta. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold R. & Frances A. Klein, A.R. “Bud” & Roberta Campbell; uncles, Steve Klein and Sam Campbell.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene, 10th & Topeka Avenue with Reverend DeEtta Goettel of the United Methodist Church in La Junta officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in La Junta. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel.
