Katherine Jo Martinez

Katherine Jo Martinez, 62, passed away on February 25, 2017 at her La Junta home.
Kathy was born on December 18, 1954 in Norton, Kansas to Lloyd & Hilda (Klein) Jackson.

Kathy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She had a heart of gold and left an imprint on everyone she met. She was a second mother, nana and friend to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Roy Joseph Martinez, Sr. of the La Junta home; daughter, Cherista Ann Martinez of Las Vegas, NV; son, Roy Joseph, Jr. (Tracey) Martinez of La Junta; grandsons, Tyler James Yates, Nicholas James Yates, Colby Joseph Martinez, Chaz Anthony Stem; granddaughters, Emma Lee Magdanlino, Kelsey Marie Martinez, Brianna Lynn Borja, and Kayla Sky Stem. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Dennis Jackson.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m. both services at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish with Father Henry Wertin officiating.
