Lavona was a proud graduate of CSU Pueblo, where she earned her undergraduate degree before going on to achieve her master’s degree at Adams State University. Her educational achievements laid the foundation for a career that would impact countless lives.

For over 25 years, Lavona dedicated her life to education as a school counselor. She loved her job and found great fulfillment in helping students navigate their challenges. She especially loved cheering on her granddaughter and her swim team, the Las Animas Trofins, representing her support and admiration.

Lavona leaves behind her treasured family, who continue to carry her legacy in their hearts. Her proudest accomplishment remains her family, and every memory shared during their time together will serve as a lasting tribute to her love and dedication.
