Leo Rodney Carroll

Leo Rodney Carroll, 79, passed away on September 15, 2017 at his Fowler home. He was born on October 8, 1937 in Fowler to Cephas C. & Doris B. (Oliver) Carroll. He married Judy on May 21, 1959 in Olney Springs; she preceded him in death. He then married Betty K. McKnight on July 2, 2016 in Fowler.

Leo was a Brand Inspector for over 20+ years. He enjoyed spending time and watching his grandchildren in their rodeos, and sports; dancing with Betty and time he shared with his family and friends where he shared stories with them. He was a great family man and was very proud of his entire family. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Betty of the Fowler home; children, Dennis (Judy) Carroll of Rocky Ford; Darryl (Lisa) Carroll of Colorado Springs; Dawn (Tom) Tucker of Holcomb, KS; Derek (Katie) Carroll of Rocky Ford; sister, Janie (Dave) Knapp of Pueblo; step-children, Lonnie (Debbie) Eder of Windsor, CO and Marlynn (Delton) Eikenberg of Haswell, CO; grandchildren, Ryan Carroll, Kaylee Carroll, Heath Tucker, Bryson Carroll, and Emilee Carroll; five step-grandchildren also survive nieces, nephews and numerous extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, and first wife.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fowler United Methodist Church with Reverend Gary Goettel of the United Methodist Church of La Junta officiating.
