Les Guthrie

June 27, 1941 — August 7, 2015

Graveside services for long time Prichett/Kim, Colorado resident, Leslie Levi Guthrie, will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Springfield Cemetery in Springfield, CO. Pastor Ernie Felzein and Pastor Danny Aragon, will co-officiate the service and burial. There will be no visitation.

Les Guthrie was born June 27, 1941 at Andrix, CO to Eva (Harris) and Levi Guthrie. He passed away on August 7, 2015, at home with family at his side. Les was a longtime Las Animas County resident, rancher, farmer, and pipeliner.


Les Guthrie is survived by wife Mary (Osborn) Guthrie and daughter, Brittany, of the home. Daughters; Peggy Trarbach (Tony) of Ellinwood, KS, Mitsy Cappellucci of Walsh, CO, and Alexandria Daugherty (Justin) of Clayton, NM. Sons; Cory Cathcart of Cañon City, CO, Jonathan Guthrie of Ft. Wayne, IN, and Randall Guthrie (Ellen) of Pritchett, CO. Eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. One sister, Bertha Bradford of Leadville, CO, sister-in-law, Frances Guthrie of Pampa, TX, nephews: James (Kelli) Guthrie of Fairplay, CO, Chuck (Missey) Bradford of Colorado City, TX, Miles (Lori) Bradford of Elbert, CO, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Leslie was preceded in death by his father and mother Levi and Eva (Harris) Guthrie. By his brothers: Earl, Dale, Ezra and Mearl Guthrie, brother-in-law, Charles Bradford, and one niece, Teresa Guthrie.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to Baca County Hospice, in Springfield, CO, or to the Pritchett Community Church, Pritchett, CO direct or through the funeral home.


Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
