Lorell Anderson

February 5, 1943 — September 3, 2015

Georgia Lorell Anderson, 72, of Olney Springs became an angel in Heaven on September 3, 2015, surrounded by her family at the Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo. She was born on February 5, 1943 in Greenfield, Missouri to Earl F. & Jeane “Freddie” (McGuire) Lowry.


Lorell was a retired Correctional Officer from the Crowley County Facility. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Olney Springs Lions Club, Moose, and Team Believe Pueblo Relay for life. She was a loving and devoted sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-mother.


She is survived by her husband, Ed E. Anderson of the Olney Springs home; daughters, Marsha (James) Woodard of Apache Junction, AZ, Charlotte “Charlie” (Jerry) Willbanks of Olney Springs, Tammy (Kenneth) Myers of Rising Sun, MD, Lynn (Wade) Rusher of Rangley, CO; foster son, George (Anita) Stelter of Crowley; brothers, John (Sara) Lowry of Nashville, TN; Joe (Bette) Lowry of Spring Bay, IL and Jim Lowry of Washburn, IL; grandchildren, John (April) Hall, Christopher Hall, Kristen (Larry) Kent, Sara Diaz & Fiancée Michael Adair, Armando Diaz & fiancée Kayla Reynolds, Kenny Myers, Justin Rusher and Whitney Rusher; Great-grandchildren, Zachary, Layten, Taylor, Payten, Joshua and Alyssa; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jack Lowry.


A special thanks to the amazing staff in the MICU at Parkview Medical Center for taking such wonderful care of our beautiful angel.


The family welcomes all donations in lieu of flowers to the American Cancer Society or to the Pueblo Relay for Life direct or through the funeral home.


Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home and Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.



Funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at the Fowler United Methodist Church with Pastor Brian Blackburn officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel in La Junta.
