Louis E. Fuller, 73, of Cheraw, passed away on June 15, 2017 at his business in North La Junta. He was born on March 31, 1944 in Denver, Colorado to George & Rosa (Marler) Fuller. Louis married Rita on September 24, 1964 in Ordway, Colorado.
Louis attended school in Ordway, Sugar City and graduated from Eads High School. Louis owned and operated Fuller Engine Service in North La Junta for 45 years and farmed all his life. He loved his family & friends and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Rita of the Cheraw home; sons, Bob (Colleen) Barnhart of Rocky Ford and Tim (Cathy) Barnhart of Parsons, KS; grandchildren, Jeremy (Shelby) Dutton of La Junta, Bruce (Crystal) Barnhart of Cheraw, T.J. (Kyla) Barnhart of Independence, KS and April Winters of Platteville, CO; brother, Jack (Emily) Fuller of La Junta; and close friend, Bradley Goodrich; and 11 great-grandchildren also survive. Louis was preceded in death by his parents, George and Rosa Fuller, his grandson, Adam Barnhart, and his uncle, Josie Fuller.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel with Pastor Gail Allen of the Arkansas Valley Cowboy Church officiating. Visitation will be Monday, June 19, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow the funeral service at Fairview Cemetery.
