Margaret Aragon

Margaret Aragon, 77, of La Junta passed away on January 20, 2018 at her daughter’s home. She was born on October 5, 1940 in La Junta, Colorado to Leo & Cecilia (Salazar) Montano. She married Jerry Aragon on September 16, 1961 in La Junta; he preceded her in death on July 1, 1997.

She is survived by her daughters, Diane (Carol) Aragon of La Junta; Julie (Hakam) Abuaun of Parma, Ohio; Michelle (Cecilia) Aragon of La Junta; Kerry (Rolando, Jr.) Fernandez of La Junta; siblings, Adelina Chavez of Sacramento, CA; Gloria (George) Romero of Sacramento, CA; Raymond (Stella) Montano of Ft. Collins, CO; 15 grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Pete Montano and sister, Virginia Ortiz.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. both services at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish with Father Henry Wertin officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel.
