Margarito Jaramillo, 61, of La Junta passed away on June 12, 2017 at the Bent County Healthcare Center in Las Animas. He was born on August 25, 1955 to Emilio & Mary Josie (Sandoval) Jaramillo in Rocky Ford, Colorado.
Margarito served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a framer and he was a hard worker and enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by sister, Merlinda Jaramillo; brothers, Alfonso (Rose) Jaramillo, Nick (Grace) Jaramillo, Lee (Kathy) Jaramillo, Felix Jaramillo, Larry Jaramillo, Frank Jaramillo, and Jacob Jaramillo; children, Tina Vialpondo, Brad Jaramillo and Joann Jaramillo; step-brothers, Mr. & Mrs. John Santisteven, Richard Nolan, Mr. & Mrs. Jerry Nolan, Mr. & Mrs. Toby Nolan, and Mr. & Mrs. Eugene Marez; step-sisters, Rose Stevans, Judy Nolan, and Sally Margarita Nolan; numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his father, Emilio Jaramillo, Sr.; mother, Josie Jaramillo; step-mother, Amadita Segura; brothers, Emilio Jaramillo, Jr. and Alex Jaramillo.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. followed by the Memorial Mass at 2:00 p.m. both services will be at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Rocky Ford with Father Paul Ekeh officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Rocky Ford Cemetery with military honors by the Rocky Ford Rifle Team, American Legion Post #8.
