Maria Louisa Lucero

Maria Louisa Lucero, 75, of Manzanola passed away on August 3, 2013 at the Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center. She was born on February 16, 1938 to Augustine & Apolonita (Arguello) Romero in Solano, New Mexico.

Louisa is survived by her children, Vivian (Pedro) Ceniceros, Abran, Jr. (Shannon) Lucero, Edwina “Mona” (Rick) Lucero, and Christine (George) Romero; siblings, Juan D. Romero, Helen Abrams, Augustine V. (Maggie) Romero, Annie (Jim) Oldfield, Vickie Romero, George (Gloria) Romero, Eupilo Romero, Patricia Romero, and Rocky Romero; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Abran Lucero, son, Charles “Charlie” Lucero, grandson, Augustine “Augie” Corona; sister, Maria Romero and brother, Rudy Romero. 

Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Thursday, August 8, 2013, at 6:00 p.m. and Funeral Mass will be Friday, August 9, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. both services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish with Father Alphonsus Ihuoma officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, August 8th, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel.
