Maria “Sadie” Zenaida Sandoval
February 22, 1930 – July 6, 2022

Sadie Sandoval 92, of Ordway, Colorado passed away on July 6th 2022 at Crowley County Nursing Center. She was born February 22nd 1930 in Villanueva, New Mexico to Domingo and Julia (Roybal) Chavez.

Sadie was a loving wife to Bennie Sandoval and mother to Benjamin, Susie, Teresa and Raymond. She cherished her family and was blessed with her grandchildren, Marian, Trinity, Christopher, Keith, Danika, Taryn, Donovan, Hillary, Tiara, Julia, Raymond Jr. and special Goddaughter Rhonda along with numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She loved people, having company over and visiting with friends and family. She loved to feed her family and was an excellent cook.

She is survived by her children, Susie (Cruz) Martinez of Las Animas; Teresa Sandoval of Rocky Ford; and Raymond Sandoval of La Junta; her grandchildren; sisters, Stella Torrez and Ramona Chavez; numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, Domingo and Julia Chavez; husband, Bennie Sandoval; son Benjamin Sandoval; siblings, Domingo “Junior” Chavez, Luciano Chavez, Gloria Chavez, Dorothy Gutierrez, Flora Esquibel, and Magdalena “Maggie” Medina.

She will be greatly missed and remembered as the loving mother, sister, Nana, aunt and the wonderful friend that she was to so many.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Tuesday, July, 2022 at 9:30am followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10am both services at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish with Father Joseph Matitu officiating. Interment will follow at the Calvary Cemetery in La Junta.
