Marshall Paul Smith, 81, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather of Olney Springs, CO, passed away July 30, 2024, at Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, CO. He was born November 29, 1942, in Robbinsville, NC to Clarence Lewis & Georgia (Rogers) Smith.

Marshall was one of eight siblings and grew up in a close-knit family. He dedicated over 20 years of his life to serving the United States Army, eventually reaching the rank of Master Sergeant. After retiring from the Army, Marshall established his own successful garage door company.

Outside of work, Marshall had many passions that brought him joy. He had a deep love for hunting and fishing, finding solace in nature's beauty. Traveling was another favorite pastime for Marshall, especially when he could explore the open road with his beloved wife in their RV.

Family was at the center of Marshall's world, and he cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren and great-grandson. Known for his generous spirit, Marshall was always quick to lend a helping hand to others, particularly fellow veterans who held a special place in his heart.

One of Marshall's favorite pastimes was sitting on the porch with his dear friend Harvy, sharing stories and enjoying each other's company.

Marshall Paul Smith will be deeply missed by all who knew him but will be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering dedication to his loved ones, and selfless acts of service within both his family and the veteran community.
