Martina Rose Rodriguez

September 1, 1952 — January 18, 2015

Martina “Marty” Rose Rodriguez, 62, of Rocky Ford, was taken on the wings of angels on January 18, 2015. She made her journey to heaven surrounded in love by her family and friends. 
She was born on September 1, 1952 in Delta, Colorado to Pedro Del Villar & Jennie Terrazas.
 
Marty graduated high school in Rocky Ford with the class of 1970. She enjoyed spending time with her family and close friends. She greeted all with a warm smile that showered all with affection. She had a caring attitude and was always willing to listen. Marty liked to have fun and unwind in Cripple Creek. She loved playing pool and dancing she had a very easy going soul. She will be missed by all who were blessed enough to have crossed paths with her. Till we meet again she will remain in our hearts and minds. With memories that will bring a smile to our faces or a tear to our eyes. You will remain in our hearts forever.  
 
She is survived by her husband of 13 years, Pedro Rodriguez, her beloved children, Andrea (Johnny Gonzales) Del Villar, Joseph and Nicole Apodaca, and Benny Del Villar; grandchildren, Elias, Jennie, Nakai, Nayah, Nevyn, Luciano and Isabella; mother-in-law, Esperanza Cordova and family; siblings, Joe (Libby) Terrazas, Kenny Miera, Louie (Rose) Miera, Priscilla (Richard Jones) Torrez, Kathy Miera, Carlos (Donna) Castaneda, Charlene (Leonard) Trujillo, and Ronnie Terrazas; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, Demetrio & Jennie Miera, brothers, Phillip Miera, Steve Valdez, and David Miera, and brother-in-law, Danny Torrez.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. and the Memorial Mass will be Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., both services at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Rocky Ford with Father Paul Ekeh officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Rocky Ford Cemetery.
