Mary Lou Trujillo

April 8, 1936 — December 16, 2015

Mary Lou Trujillo, 79, passed away on December 16, 2015 at
the Minnequa Medicenter in Pueblo. She was born on April 8, 1936 in La Junta,
Colorado to Maxamino & Domecinda (Trujillo) Montano. She married Agapito
Trujillo on April 11, 1955 in Las Vegas, New Mexico; he preceded her in death
on July 26, 2004.
 
Mary
Lou enjoyed teaching for 34 years of her life at OJC-CDS. She was really great
at telling stories and working with children of all ages. Mary Lou enjoyed
spending time with her family and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She loved to cook but was best known for her legionary Chile and great tasting
salsa. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
 
She
is survived by her daughters, Mary Jane (Ben) Trujillo of the La Junta home;
Sara (Gil) Palacio of La Junta; son, John (Anna) Trujillo of Denver; six
grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Trujillo &
Carol Sandoval; brothers, Benny & Frankie Montano both of Denver; numerous
nieces, nephews, and numerous extended family. She was preceded in death by her
parents and husband.


In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Aide for the Blind
direct or through the funeral home.

Memorial service will be Monday, December 28, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel with Joe Montoya officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Calvary in La Junta.
