Micheal Lee Cannon

March 10, 1957 — March 23, 2018

Micheal Lee Cannon, 61, of La Junta passed away on March 23, 2018 at the Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo. He was born on March 10, 1957 in La Junta to Carroll & Norma (Dawley) Cannon.

He was a nurse with the southeast VA system. He was on the Otero ditch board, member of the VFW, Naval Corpsman with the National Guard and had been involved in Swink town council/mayor, the Boy scouts and Koshares. He enjoyed the Denver Broncos and “Family came first” he was a brother, husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. His dream was to retire and work the family farm.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Shirley of the La Junta home; children, Amy Headlee of Swink; Jennifer Cannon of La Junta; grandchildren, Joseph & Emily Headlee of Swink; mother, Norma Cannon; sisters, Melody Cannon and LuAnn Cannon; nephew, Nathan Hurt, Eric Hurt and Taylor Glass; nieces, Kara Hurt-Avila and Madison Glass. He was preceded in death by his father, Carroll Cannon.

As per Micheal’s request cremation has taken place and no services at this time.
