Norma J. Thompson

Norma J. Thompson, 62, passed away on April 14, 2015 at her La Junta home. She was born on March 31, 1953 in Newark, Ohio to Stanley L. & Marilyn L. (Ford) Colbert, Sr.
 
Norma had various occupations, including truck driving, wedding cakes, restaurant cook, and her willing and capability of anything put in front of her.
 
She is survived by her children, Doug (Shannon) Murphy of La Junta; Mary Lin Mack of Gun Barrel City, Texas; parents, Bill & Marilyn Clark of La Junta; step-son, Chad Thompson & family of Texas; four grandchildren; siblings, Allen, Glenna, and Stanley; step-brother, Gene Clark & family of California and step-sister, Debbie Clark & family of Ft. Morgan, Colorado; numerous friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her father, Stanley Colbert, Sr., sister, Alice and half-sister, Stacey.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Cowboy Church or Valley Community Church direct or through the funeral home.
 
 
 

Memorial service will be Monday, April 20, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the Cowboy Church with Pastor Gale Allen officiating.
