Ralph Bullock

A Celebration of Life for former Kit Carson resident, currently of Springfield, CO, Reverend Ralph R. Bullock will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, October 10, 2014 at the Springfield United Methodist Church with Reverend Travis Walker officiating. Interment with full Military Honors under the auspices of Kit Carson VFW Post# 3411 will also be held on Friday, October 10, 2014 at 3:00PM at the Kit Carson Cemetery in Kit Carson, CO.


Visitation for Ralph will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2014 from 1:00PM until 7:00PM at the Peacock Family Chapel in Lamar, Colorado.


Reverend Bullock was born on November 24, 1929 at Bear Grass, North Carolina to Louis and Beulah (Cowan) Bullock and passed away on October 5, 2014 at the Southeast Colorado Longterm Care Center in Springfield, CO with his family by his side at the age of 84.


He is preceded in death by his first wife; Joyce Bullock, second wife; Marilyn Bullock, parents, brothers; Edward and Atung Bullock and a son; Brett Gibbs.


Ralph is survived by his children; Launa (Rick) Deeds of Pritchett, CO, Greg (Sharon) Bullock of Lamar, Jim (Christine) Bullock of La Junta, CO, Victor (Doris) Gibbs of Kit Carson, CO and Terry (Susie) Gibbs of Capitan, NM, grandchildren; Becky, Beth, Alyssa, Olivia, Paul, Kimberly, Dustin and Tiffany. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren; Peyton, Parker, Kollin, Kinley and Ethan, siblings; Elizabeth “Lib” (Nick) Swinson of Mt. Olive, NC, Pauline Savage of Tarboro, NC, Geraldine Donnel of Rocky Mount, NC, Nancy (Robert) Shonk of Mount Joy, PA, W.B. (Mattie) Bullock and Janice Smith all of Rocky Mount, NC as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.


Memorial Contributions may be made to the Springfield and/or Kit Carson Methodist Church or the Methodist church of one’s choice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
