Ralph W. Willhoite

Ralph William “Bill” Willhoite, 76, of La Junta passed away on February 26, 2013 at Arkansas Valley Regional Nursing Care Center. He was born in La Junta, Colorado on October 12, 1936, to Ralph E. & Mary Regina (Hayes) Willhoite.

Bill served in the United States Air Force from March 1955 and was honorably discharged in December 1958. He attended schools and spent most of his life in La Junta. Bill was a skilled carpenter and craftsman; he enjoyed fishing, wood crafts, gardening, and tinkering.

Bill is survived by his dear friend, Pat Bailey Dawson; sister-in-law, Dianne Willhoite; children, Jacqueline (Ted) Suthers of Battle Mountain, NV;  Ryan Willhoite of Swink; Paula (Juan Zamora) Willhoite of Greenfield, CA; Michael (Angelia) Willhoite of Manzanola; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his beloved brother Gerald Edward “Jerry” Willhoite.

As per Bill’s wishes cremation has taken place and private services will be held at later date.
