Ramon Pacheco

November 11, 1944 — July 14, 2013

Ramon Pacheco, 68, of Rocky Ford, went to heaven to be with the Lord surrounded by his loving family on July 14, 2013 at the Crowley County Nursing Center. He was born November 11, 1944, in Saguache, Colorado to Elias & Stella (Abeyta) Pacheco.

Ramon moved to Rocky Ford in 1981, where he was the Pastor at the Wesleyan Church in Rocky Ford, and also pastored in Lamar for two years. He worked as a barber for 40 years. He was hard working, he enjoyed sporting events, loved the Broncos, and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Carol, of 44 years, of the Rocky Ford home; children, Randy (Tonya) Slocum of Ordway; Myra Pacheco of Rocky Ford; Rachel (Heath) Showalter of Cortez, CO, Jason (Sedallia) Pacheco of La Junta, Holly Pacheco of Rocky Ford, and Sandy (Neal) Wall of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Wesley, Lesley, Christopher, Olivia, Henry, Autumn, Caden, Connor, Grace, Faith, & Avery; great-grandchild, Maizy Jane; brothers, George, Molla, Steve, Claude, and PeeWee; and sisters, Carrie, Cleo, and Annabell. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, a brother, and two sisters. 

Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.


A memorial service will be Thursday, July 18, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene in Rocky Ford with Reverend Steven Speidel officiating.
