Rebecca B. Valdez

Rebecca B. Valdez, 90, of Rocky Ford, passed away on January 3, 2015 at the Pioneer Health Care Center. She was born to Luciano & Agapita (Montoya) Sanchez on June 10, 1927 in Pastura, New Mexico. She married Antonio C. Valdez on August 31, 1951 in Las Vegas, New Mexico.
 
Rebecca enjoyed camping, knitting, cooking and spending time with her family.
 
She is survived by her children, Walter (Macky) Valdez of La Junta, Becky (Toby) Jaramillo of Rocky Ford, and Marlene Sandoval of Denver; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Anthony Valdez, and all her siblings.
 

As per her request cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
