Reva P. Talley-Venn

Reva P. Talley Venn, 96, entered heavenly rest on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at the Crowley County Nursing Center. Reva was born on April 12, 1914 to James E. & Veve E. (Morris) Talley in Pattonsburg, Missouri.
Reva moved to Jet Oklahoma as a small child. She later met Joe Venn and they had four children. She enjoyed being a house wife and taking care of her children. After her children were all grown she worked as a waitress for several years. Reva attended the First Baptist Church in La Junta for several years until she moved to Ordway. While living in Ordway she was attending Ordway Baptist Church and the River of Life Fellowship. She was an avid bowler, loved to crochet and working in her flowers. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Jorene Markus, Ron (Marie) Venn, and Jack Venn; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 10 great, great-grandchildren; also survived by five step-sisters.
Reva is preceded in death by her parents, James & Veve Talley; son, James Austin Venn; son-in-law, Harry Markus; grandson, Rusty Markus; five brothers and 15 sisters, former spouse, Joe Venn.
Funeral services will be Monday, March 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ordway Baptist Church, 3rd & Lincoln in Ordway with Pastor Dan Parker of the Ordway Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Valley View Cemetery in Ordway.
