Robert Ashby Fritz

Robert Ashby Fritz, 89, of Las Animas passed away on December 28, 2014 at his granddaughter’s home in Pueblo West. He was born on January 10, 1925 in Princeton, IN to Earl & Della Lee (Ashby) Fritz. He married Mildred Galine Johnston on October 11, 1944 in Raton, New Mexico. 
 
Robert was retired from the Ft. Lyon VA Medical Center and was a retired farmer.
He will be missed greatly by his family and friends.
 
He is survived by his children,  Francis (Linda) Fritz of Douglas, WY; Virginia Moody of Bois City, OK; Raymond (Peggy) Fritz of Las Animas; brother, Arthur Fritz of Fowler; grandchildren Francis Fritz, Jr., Veronica Norris, Gary Fritz, Loren Fritz, Cindy Rich, Sandy Hasui, Sheree Fritz, Kathy Niceschwander, and Randy Fritz; 29 great-grandchildren and three great, great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Paul, Charles, and Ronald.
 
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Sange De Cristo Hospice, 1207 Pueblo Blvd. Way, Pueblo, CO 81005.
 
 
 

As per Robert’s request cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
