Robert Eldon Redd

August 12, 1924 — October 7, 2014

Robert Eldon Redd, 90, of La Junta passed away October 7, 2014 at the Crowley County Nursing Center. He was born on August 12, 1924 in Albany, Missouri to George & Laura (Quigley) Redd.


Robert worked for many years with the Santa Fe & Amtrak from La Junta to Raton retiring in 1982. He also served in the Air Force. He will be missed dearly by family and friends.


He is survived by his wife, Jessie of the La Junta home; children, Linda (Dennis) Heider of Denver; Darrel Redd, Marilyn Redd both of Albuquerque, NM; Norman (Marilyn) Redd of Denver; Chuck (Beverly) Redd of Clovis, NM; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Maxine Redd; sons, Joe & Glenn Redd and two grandsons.


Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.


Memorial service will be Saturday, October 18, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. ay the First Christian Church with Reverend Ron Skorick officiating.
