Robert J. Costello

Robert J. Costello, 80, passed away on
February 9, 2016 at his La Junta home. He was born to Joe J. & Margaret
(Pierce) Costello on July 22, 1935. He married Eva Romero on July 19, 1958 in
Denver, Colorado at the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.
Robert enjoyed fishing, hunting,
camping, traveling, going on cruises, working in his yard and was an excellent
carpenter. He enjoyed watching sports but was an avid Denver Bronco fan. Robert
loved spending time with his family and friends and was a great father, and
grandfather and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Eva of the
La Junta home; children, Linda (Pancho) Moreno of Longmont, CO; Ramona A.
Costello of Denver; Roberta (Erskine) Sankey of San Jose, CA; eight
grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; sisters, Janice Maxwell and Helen
Herrera both of Denver; numerous nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death
by his parents, three brothers and five sisters.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the
Arkansas Valley Hospice, PO Box 408, La Junta, CO, 81050 direct or through the
funeral home.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Friday, February 12, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. both services at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish with Father Christopher Popravak officiating. Interment will follow at the Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 4:00 pm. to 6:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel.
