Robert L. Kimsey

Memorial Service: Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 2 p.m.
                                      Place: First United Methodist Church in Rocky Ford

Robert L. Kimsey, went to be with the Lord on April 14, 2013 at his Rocky Ford home, after a short illness; he was 84.  He was born on October 29, 1928, to Louis Edgar & Dorothy (May) Kimsey in Pueblo, Colorado.

He graduated from Centennial High School in 1946.  He served in the United States Air Force for a short time.  He was then employed by the Santa Fe Railroad for 37 1/2 years.  He was a member of the Rocky Ford Methodist Church.  He married Wanda Elaine Smith on March 14, 1951 in Dayton, Ohio.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Wanda of the Rocky Ford home; sons, Clyde (Kathy) Kimsey of Pueblo, Kenneth (Kerri) Kimsey of Swink, Colorado, and Ronald (Sandy Hasui) Kimsey of Pueblo West, Colorado; daughters Tamara (Stan) Pickerill of Ordway, Colorado and Terri (Jim) Goff of Olney Springs, Colorado; and a brother, Russell Kimsey of Pueblo.  He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother & father, sister and an infant daughter.
