Robert Lee Hasty

November 10, 1943 — April 28, 2014

Robert Lee “Bob” Hasty, 70, passed away on April 28, 2014 at his La Junta home. He was born in Meriden, Kansas on November 10, 1943 to Claude & Rosie (Montag) Hasty.
 
Robert grew up in the Kim area and joined the Navy in 1963 thru 1967. After his tour he came back to the La Junta area and started working for Pepsi Company as a route delivery driver. He later became District Manager, after 30 years he retired and drove truck for Dean Pickle and Lewis Bolt & Nut.
 
He is survived by his wife, Pat of the La Junta home; children; Doug (Helen) Hasty and Nanette (Danny) Thomas all of La Junta; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Glen (Alva Lu) Hasty of Oklahoma; sister, Ione Dawson of Grand Junction; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Larry Hasty and brother-in-law, Glen Dawson. 
 
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Arkansas Valley Hospice, PO Box 408, La Junta, CO, 81050 direct or through the funeral home.

Graveside service will be Friday, May 2, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bent County Cemetery in Las Animas.
