Robert Miguel Torrez

Robert Miguel Torrez, 58, of La Junta passed away on February 18, 2019 at the Arkansas Valley Regional Nursing Care Center in La Junta. He was born on May 19, 1960 in La Junta, Colorado to Alvaro J. & Estella R. (Chavez) Torrez.

Robert loved music, pizza and enjoyed warm days. He loved his family. He was an avid Miami Dolphin fan.

He is survived by his mother, Estella Torrez of La Junta; siblings, Tony (Susan) Torrez, Martin Torrez, Kathy (Ruben Becerra) Torrez all of La Junta; Tina (Henry) Torrez-Viapando of Denver; Steve Torrez and Joseph Torrez both of La Junta; brother-in-law, Bill Lail of La Junta. He was preceded in death by his father, Alvaro Torrez; sisters, Patsy Torrez and Becky Lail; brothers, Alfred & Henry “Wall-e” Torrez.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. both services at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish with Father Henry Wertin officiating. Inurnment at the Calvary Cemetery in La Junta.
