Robert Sr. Ramirez

Robert Ramirez, Sr. 62, passed away on July 16, 2014 at his La Junta home. He was born on May 6, 1952 in La Junta, Colorado to Natalio & Jenny (Fernandez) Ramirez, Sr.


Robert served in the United States Army from 1971 – 1977. He worked 25 years with the BNSF retiring in 2006. He enjoyed sports especially when it came to the Denver Broncos. Family was always very important to Robert.


He is survived by his wife, Georgia of the La Junta home; daughter, Lisa (Darvin Quintana) Ramirez; son, Robert (Brittany) Ramirez, Jr.; grandchildren, Shayla, Sheryce, Saige, Jayda; brothers, David (Judy) Ramirez, Samuel (Mary Lou) Ramirez, Gary (Jennifer) Ramirez; sisters, Linda (Louie) Diaz, CeCe Molina, Kathy (Antonio) Gonzalez, and Liz (Gene) Gallegos; numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Natalio, Jr. and Jacob Ramirez, sisters, Andrea Carr and Roseanne Ramirez.


Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.


Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at 9:30 a.m. and the Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m., both services will be at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish with Father Charles Sena of the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Lamar officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
