Roberta A. Campbell

Roberta A. “Bo” Campbell, 93, of Fowler and formerly of La Junta passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at the Fowler Health Care Center. She was born July 3, 1918 in La Junta, Colorado to Thomas B. & Mary (Jones) Macaulay. She married A.R. "Bud" Campbell on December 31, 1940 in Raton, New Mexico; he preceded her in death in September 1980.
     Bo attended Ottawa University in Kansas where she received her Bachelor of Science in Music. She was a member of the Railroad Good Sam’s Club of Pueblo. Bo was very active in the Columbine Girl Scouts Council as well as being a Girl and Boy Scouts Leader. She was a member of the PTA, Eastern Star and attended the United Methodist Church in La Junta.
    Bo is survived by her children Mary Jane (John) Klein of La Junta; Robert (Janet) Campbell of Broomfield, CO; Nancy (Eric) Boatwright of La Junta; grandchildren Robert S. (Alex) Bone, II of Germany; Amanda (Mark) Johnston of Swink; Jason & Jeremy Campbell both of Broomfield; Justin (Samantha) Klein of La Junta; Matthew (Vanessa) Campbell of Colorado Springs; Samantha (Casey) Scharenbroich of Dickinson, ND; Whitney Boatwright of Pueblo; ten great-grandchildren also survive.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Sam Campbell on August 23, 1993; one brother and three sisters.

    A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, September 16, 2011, at 3:00 p.m at the La Junta United Methodist Church with Reverend Terilynn Russ officiating.
