Robin M. Jacquart

Robin Murphy Jacquart, 71, was born on Oct. 21, 1941 in Kansas City, MO, passed away at his home in Higbee near La Junta, Colorado on August 4, 2013. Survived by his wife of 52 years, Marsha; three sons, Rollie (Ronda), Ragan (Jane), Clint (Rachelle) and two daughters, Kristi Thompson and Kerri Finegan; twelve grandchildren and one great-grandson.
He attended grades 1-12 in Sublette, KS. After attending Southwestern College in Winfield, KS and Kansas State University, he and Marsha raised their family on his farm north of Sublette, KS. He was a member of the Sublette Jaycees and served as a State Director, 1970-71. He received the Outstanding Young Farmer Award in 1973. He was a Sublette School Board member from July 1, 1975 to June 30, 1979. His late model stock car raced the Merrick Auto Racing Championship circuit in the late '70's in Dodge City, KS. In 1986, Robin was elected to the Haskell County ASC Committee for a three year term.
In 1993 Robin and Marsha purchased a ranch south of Fowler, Colorado and later a farm south of Rocky Ford. After homesteading a place near La Veta, Colorado in 2000, they returned to the La Junta area in 2005.

A memorial services will be held at the First Church of the Nazarene on Friday, August 9, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Ken West of the Crowley Community Baptist Church officiating.
