Rosanna C. Ong

Rosanna
Ong, 87, of La Junta, passed away April 8, 2013, at the Arkansas Valley
Regional Medical Center.  Rosanna was
born on February 24, 1926, in Custer County, Nebraska to Jay & Marie (Sherwood)
Scofield. She married Andrew Ong on June 12, 1954 in Raton, New Mexico; he
preceded her in death on Oct. 1, 1984.

Later in
1926 her family moved to the Arkansas Valley where she attended school. Rosanna
worked for the Citizens Utilities Company for nearly 40 years before retiring
and becoming involved in volunteer work. She was a member of the AARP, AVRMC
Auxiliary, and volunteered for Arkansas Valley Hospice.

She is
survived by her sister, Evelyn Gilliland and numerous nieces and nephews. She
was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, and one brother. 

Graveside
services will be held on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 2:00 p.m., at Fairview
Cemetery with Reverend Tom Dudley of the Cheraw United Methodist Church
officiating.

In lieu
of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Arkansas Valley Hospice, PO
Box 408, La Junta, CO, 81050 direct or through funeral home.

Graveside Services will be held on Friday. April 12, 2013, 2:00 p.m., at Fairview Cemetery with Reverend Tom Dudley of the Cheraw United Methodist Church officiating.
