Russell A. Mcdonald

Russell Alvin McDonald, 62, passed away on October 16, 2020 at his Cheraw home. He was born on August 4, 1958 in La Junta to William Robert & Huldah Irene (Wright) McDonald.

Russell was very proud of his military service in the United States Navy from 1976 - 1980. He worked as a C.N.A., worked with Lincare & Apria and later had his own oxygen business. Russell was a proud member of the American Legion Post #9 in La Junta. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Russell is survived by his daughters, Laura and Tori; sisters, Betty Hobbick, Margaret (Paul) Hogue, Sharon (Gary) Wallace, and Lynn Higashimura; brother, Mike McDonald; grandkids, Kevin & Morgan Dowell; & many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, many brothers and a sister.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Cheraw United Methodist Church with Pastor Mark Cloer of the Cheraw United Methodist Church, Robert Frazier and Pastor Steve Hicks officiating. Inurnment will follow at Ft. Lyon National Cemetery.
