Ruth Conyers Leroy

Ruth Conyers Leroy passed away November 23, 2013 at the age of 89 at the Fowler Health Care Center. She was born on May 20, 1924 in Alamartha, Missouri to Pete & Roxa (Parker) Snelson.

She was preceded in death by husbands Roy Conyers and Tom Leroy; sisters Helen Gasser, Joan Foster, Jane Round; and brother Ray Snelson. Ruth is survived by her children, Ken (Diana) Conyers, Sandy Hughes, and Sherry (Delbert) Worster; stepchildren Mike, Sheila, and Vicki Leroy and their families. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Louise Snelson and Ina Turner, brother-in-law Danny Round, eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, gifts or donations may be given to the Fowler Health Care Center direct or through the funeral home. 

Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Peacock Memorial Chapel in La Junta with Reverend Ron Skorick of the First Christian Church officiating. The family wishes to extend our appreciation to the staff of the Fowler Health Care Center for the compassion and respect they gave to Mom.
