Sheryl A. Daniel

Sheryl A. Daniel, 61, longtime La Junta resident passed away on July 28, 2014 at the Arkansas Valley Regional Nursing Care Center. She was born on May 26, 1953 in Denver, Colorado to Kenneth & Virginia (Cunningham) Shull. Sheryl married John G. Daniel on September 1, 1988 in La Junta.


Sheryl enjoyed cooking, reading and writing. Her biggest passion was spending time with her grandsons. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.


She is survived by her husband, John of the La Junta home; children, Larisa (Alan) Goebel-Yancey of Rocky Ford; Matthew Anderson of Rocky Ford; Donald Anderson of La Junta; grandchildren, Brysen & Tevin Anderson of Rocky Ford; brother, Ronnie (Sue) Shull of Golden, CO; step-children, Jerry (Mona) Daniel of Colorado Springs, Jean Daniel, and Jane (Steve Martinez) Daniel all of Pueblo; eight step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents.


A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel with Ron Skorick of the First Christian Church officiating.


Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home and Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
