Susie M. Lopez

Susie Martinez Lopez, 71, of La Junta, passed away June 5, 2013, at the Minnequa Medicenter in Pueblo. Susie was born on August 4, 1941, in La Junta to Brigido & Antonia (Salazar) Martinez. She was married to Lawrence Lopez.

Susie enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and she also loved her angels and ducks.

She is survived by her children, Suzanne Bailon of Lamar and Suzanne's ex-husband, Gonzalo Bailon; Clara “Lencha” (Juan) Morales of Granada; Lorenzo “Lencho” (Molly) Lopez of La Junta; grandchildren, Paublo (Cassie) Bailon of La Junta; Phillip Lopez of La Junta; Chavies (Tina) Bailon of Granada; Marisa, Alex, Carlos Morales of Granada; great-grandchildren, Paublo Bailon, Jr., Nicholas Bailon, Nevaeh Morales, and Irene Bailon; brother, Luciano (Dorothy) Martinez of Denver; sisters-in-law, Judy Martinez, Dora Martinez both of La Junta; Telly Martinez of Denver; also several nieces, nephews, and godchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, Brigido & Antonia Martinez, brothers, Rudy, Brigido "Bee", Lee and Little Rudy Martinez; and sisters, Duye Nolan and Stella Romero; grandsons, Angel Juan Morales, Jr. and Artemio Gonzalez, Jr.
