Tead Henry Russell
Oct. 30, 1932 – Sept. 5, 2017

Tead passed away Sept. 5, 2017, at his home, 5877 E. Fair Place, Centennial, CO 80111. He was 84. Tead was born Oct. 30, 1932, in La Junta, Colorado, to Albert and Sophia Russell.

Tead attended La Junta Schools and immediately after high school started his own dairy. His brother Dave joined him after returning from the service. He married Earlene Jones and together they also started ranching while Tead and Dave continued running the dairy until the late 1960s when they sold their dairy herd. After that, he started ranching full-time. Tead was a kind, dry-witted man who loved his family immensely. He was also very proud of his ranch and the cattle he produced. He was a true cattleman and really enjoyed building his herd with top line genetics.
