Therman Lee Connally, 67, of La Junta passed away on December 19, 2016 at the Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center in La Junta. He was born on May 27, 1949 in La Junta to Ralph Horace & Goldie Dorothy (Powell) Connally.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on cars, riding his Cushman motor scooter and he loved music, animals and playing checkers which he was a master at. He enjoyed his time with his family and friends. Therman was very wise, sensitive and very intelligent. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his sisters, Teresa (Herb) Nelson of Glendora, CA; Anita (Dr. John Cravens, Sr.) Connally of Ordway, CO; step-siblings, Terry Connally of Kansas; Ernest Hood of Williams, AZ; Sue Connally of Paradise, CA; Nadine Connally, Stella Kay Connally both of California; multiple nieces and nephews and multiple great nieces and great nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his beloved Karla Valerio; parents, Ralph H. & Goldie D. Connally; step-father, Lucian R. Connally; brothers, Charles R., Donald, Fred, and Dean Connally and William “Billy” and Roy Allen Hood; sisters, Marjorie G. Ruiz and Dorothy Hood-Bamber.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel with Mark Fisher officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to service.
