Thomas Charles Brown

Thomas “Tom” Charles Brown, 68, of Rocky Ford passed away on November 18, 2016 at the Parker Adventist Hospital in Parker, Colorado. He was born on September 17, 1948 in Rocky Ford to Donald & Helen (Reif) Brown. He married Judy Stebleton on December 31, 1969.

Tom was a CPA his entire career in Rocky Ford and La Junta. During his life he was treasurer of the Ark Valley Fair, member and President of Rotary and Rotary Paul Harris Fellow, past President of the Rocky Ford Chamber and the Rocky Ford Country Club, Treasurer of Community Hospital Board, and was on the AVRMC Board and was also a member of the Board for Community Banks of Colorado.

He is survived by his wife, Judy of the Rocky Ford home; daughters, Claudia (Greg) Beckum of Divide, CO; Melissa (Chris) Welsh of Aurora, CO; six grandchildren, Kaleb, Gavyn, & Mikaiah Welsh and Devon, Ethan & Graham Beckum; sister, Cheri (Tim) Drye of Burnettsville, IN; brothers-in-law, Gary (Cheryl) Stebleton and Kevin Stebleton; sisters-in-law, Maryetta (Oscar) Lane and Connie (Scott) Boe; and numerous nieces & nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jim, Bill, and John Brown.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Rocky Ford with Pastor John Dell officiating.
