Tom Thomas

Riley "Tom" J. Thomas, Jr., 66, of Rocky Ford passed away on June 12, 2016. He was born on June 28, 1949 in La Junta, Colorado to Riley Judson & Zella (Ulrey) Thomas, Sr. He married Peggy Perkins on June 28, 1987 in Delhart, Texas.
 
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed painting and crafts.
 
He is survived by his wife, Peggy of the Rocky Ford home; children, Kelly Thomas of La Junta; Amanda Augestine of Pueblo; Danette (Chris) Palmberg of Goodland, KS; Tara (Craig) Brailey of Rocky Ford; Angela Davis-Smole of Walden, CO; grandchildren, Corey, Alex, Ashley, Mykala, Danyon, Jessica, Aaron, Lexus, Zachary, Brianna, Rebekkah, Lynzie, Isaac, Otem, Conner, and Abigail; one great-granddaughter, Sophia; sister, Lois Jackson of Swink; brother, John (Joni) Thomas of White Deer, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and great, great nieces and great, great nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Lowene Salzbrenner, Shirley Crocker, and Linda Grant, and Marie Thomas; nephew, Billy McIntosh.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Valley CommUnity Church in Rocky Ford with Reverend Kurt England officiating.
