Waneta L. Goff

Waneta L. Goff, 84, of Cheraw passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at the Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs. Memorial service will be held Monday, January 19 at 11 a.m. at the Cheraw United Methodist Church with Reverend Tom Dudley officiating. Inurnment will be at the East Holbrook Mennonite Cemetery in Cheraw.
She was born on January 28, 1924 to Orion Jefferson & Hatie Jane (Steljes) Rains in Thomas County, Kansas. She married Walter Thomas Goff on February 18, 1943. He preceded her in death.
Waneta worked at the Cheraw Turkey Plant and Western Foods/ Dean Pickle.
She is survived by her children, Tom (Pauline) Goff of Cheraw; John Goff of Cheraw; Mary (Dan) Beebe of Cheraw; Jim (Terri) Goff of Crowley; grandchildren, Michael Goff, Bob Beebe, Tim (Brandi) Beebe, Eric Goff, Jennifer Goff, Tryon Goff, and Tyrel Goff; great-grandchildren, Corey Beebe, Brianne Beebe, Garrett Beebe, Lauren Beebe, Seth Beebe and Kord Goff; sister-in-laws, Mary (Goff) Morrison, Margie (Goff) Kunselmen, Ruth Rains, and Laverna Rains Ervins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Walter Goff; brothers, Edward, Emmett, Eldon, Earl Rains; sisters, Ethel (Rains) Lidlow and Ellen Blanch (Rains) Allaman Dechant.
