Yolanda Maria Ortiz

Yolanda Maria Ortiz, 25, of Swink passed away tragically on August 23, 2021 in La Junta. She was born on July 31, 1996 in Denver to Sandra Yolanda Gonzalez & Ilario Ortiz.

Her accomplishment in life was getting her GED and her Dental assistant certificate and being top of her class at Job Core.

Yolanda was a very loving and caring person and loved the Lord. She was very humble, happy, chirpy mother, daughter, sister, cousin, and friend. Her best moments shined when she was with her son. She loved music, dancing and being outdoors. She loved her customers and co-workers when she worked at Lucy’s. She will be greatly missed and always in our hearts and memories.

She is survived by her brave son, Israel Carlos Ortiz; husband, Carlos Espinoza; mother, Yolanda Gonzalez; father, Ilario Ortiz; siblings, Destiny (Brandon), Adam, David, Ehipolito (Kazie), Micaela; nephew, Jackson and two nieces. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Viola Gonzalez, grandfather, Rigino Gonzalez, grandmother, Maria De La Luz and grandfather, Leon Ortiz.

A memorial service will be Friday, September 3, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Victorious Church (formerly Crossroads Church) in Swink with Pastor Randy Anderson officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel. Inurnment will follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Rocky Ford.
