Zola F. Bamber, 85, of La Junta passed away on September 20, 2016 at the Bent County Memorial Nursing Home. She was born on April 7, 1931 in Stanton County, Kansas to Lon A. & Polly R. (Campbell) Ramey. She married Melvin “Bud” Bamber in Clayton, New Mexico on Nov. 16, 1948; he preceded her in death on July 12, 2013.
Zola is survived by her sons, Jerry (Donna) Bamber of La Junta, Jay (Darina) Bamber of La Junta, and Rex (Brenda) Bamber of La Junta; daughter, Pam (Jim) Sisson of La Junta; sister, Donna Lamborn; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Juanita Bamber, Roberta Ramey and Ellen Hall; brother-in-law, Vete Bamber and numerous nieces & nephews survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; sisters, Polly, Lavolia, Omah, Rosie, and Alona; brother, Lonnie, and infant brother, Jack Burton Ramey.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the Springfield Cemetery in Springfield, Colorado with Pastor Gail Allen of the Cowboy Church officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
